Springfield Public Works crews, Greene County, and MoDOT road crews have been preparing to clear and maintain roads.
Public Works began 24-hour operations at midnight by pretreating designated snow routes and will continue to clear the snow as it falls. Around 60 Public Works plow drivers are working in 12-hour shifts, prioritizing major roads and emergency routes.
Residents are asked to avoid parking on streets to allow plows to clear roads.
