Springfield-based Convoy of Hope is responding to widespread flooding across Appalachia.
The humanitarian organization has already sent semi-truckloads of relief supplies to Kentucky, where the death toll from flooding has risen to nine, along with Tennessee and West Virginia. Additional semi loads will be sent to those states and Virginia as well.
Relief loads include food, cleaning supplies, and large quantities of drinking water because of disruptions to local water systems.
