Prosecutors have filed charges in connection with a fatal stabbing in Springfield over the weekend.
Springfield Police say 49-year-old Mathias Jones of Springfield is charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action, and kidnapping in the death of 45-year-old Phillip Farley.
He is being held in the Greene County Jail.
Officers responded on Sunday to a report of a man lying on West College.
They found Farley with several stab wounds.
He died at the scene.
