Springfield City Council has approved a new development in the Galloway area. The vote was 8 to 1. Councilman Craig Hosmer was the only “no” vote.
Planning and Zoning initially turned down the Chimney Rock development, so the developer took it to City Council. The city attorney says Planning and Zoning should have approved the development because it meets the standard requirements.
Neighbors in the area say too many homes will go into the allotted space and will create traffic problems.
