The City of Springfield is moving to take ownership of Jenny Lind Hall Apartments.
The apartments are home to several elderly and disabled people, and the elevators in the building have not worked for almost a year. The building is owned by Millennia Housing, which is based in Cleveland.
The city has filed a 60-day notice of the city’s intent to file an application of receivership, the first step in taking control of the building.
