Board of Public Utilities Approves Financing For Springfield’s Energy Needs

The Springfield Board of Public Utilities approves financing to support the city’s future energy needs.

The cost of the power supply project is approximately $280.

The payments will be covered by existing funds and future rate adjustments.

Rate adjustments would have to be approved by the Board and City Council.

The first possible rate adjustment would not happen until 2027.
