More snow is headed to the Ozarks, impacting the end of the afternoon commute Thursday for the western part of our listening area, and for all of us Friday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Christian, Barry, Douglas, Howell, Ozark, Stone and Taney Counties from 5pm Thursday through 6pm Friday.
In the warning area, heavy snow is expected, with accumulations between 4 and 6 inches possible.
The rest of southwest Missouri, including Springfield, is under a Winter Weather Advisory for the same time period.
Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches are expected in the advisory area, creating difficult travel conditions.
