Man From Branson Charged In Stabbing Incident

A man from Branson is now charged with stabbing another man.

Police responded to an apartment in the 300 block of Francis Street in Branson on Saturday and found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital in Springfield with critical injuries. Jesse Flory fled the scene but was soon found by police.

He’s charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action, but more charges are expected.

Chief of Police for City of Clever Charged with Domestic Assault, Resigns from Office

The City of Clever is reeling after its police chief, Michael Evans, was arrested and charged with domestic assault.

Investigators say the 49-year-old was arrested following a disturbance that was called in along West Wilderness Street the night of November 7.

According to Greene County Sheriff’s deputies, he was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault.

Specific details of the case are limited, but the Clever Police Department did confirm that Evans is the Chief of Police.

Shortly after his arrest, Evans did submit his letter or resignation. Plans to appoint a new police chief have not been confirmed at this time.

He is currently being held in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Power Restored to Some 1,000 Residents after Truck Hits Power Pole in Springfield

Over 1,000 City Utilities customers are getting their electricity back after a truck hit a utility pole and caused a power outage early Monday morning.

Investigators were called to the scene along Cedarbrook Avenue, near Chestnut Expressway, just after 6:45am Monday, where they found the truck and the damaged pole.

The crash caused power outages for customers along Chestnut Expressway west of Highway 65, including us here at Zimmer Communications and KWTO.

Estimates are around 1,100 customers were effected by the power outage. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Lebanon Teacher Accused of Sending Inappropriate Photos to Student

Lebanon Police have arrested a teacher for after she was accused of inappropriate behavior with a student.

Court documents say 23-year-old Marcella Cadle faces several counts including possession of child pornography, furnishing pornographic material to a minor, and fourth-degree assault.

Lebanon Police were called to the high school to investigate a report of Cadle allegedly sending inappropriate photos and a video of herself to a student.

She was arrested and a judge has ordered her held without bond.
