One person is dead, and two others are injured in a crash near near Strafford along Evergreen Road.
Investigators say the crash happened early Wednesday morning when a car travelling east crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck driving westbound.
One victim, 34-year-old Chynna Wright of Springfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two other victims, the driver of the truck and a passenger in the car, were transported to a Springfield hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash on Evergreen, which runs parallel to I-44 east of Strafford, closed traffic for nearly two hours while crews cleared the scene.
