U.S. Senate and House Races in Missouri Primary Become Official, Nominees Selected

With elections results pouring in from the August 6 primary, several Senate and House races in Missouri are being called, setting up some big Republican vs. Democrat battles come November.

In the U.S. Senate, incumbent Senator Josh Hawley run unopposed on the GOP side, while Lucas Kune defeated Karla May, December Harmon, and Mita Biswas.

Congressional District 7’s Republican nomination was secured by incumbent Eric Burlison, who defeated Camille Lombardi-Olive, John Adair, and Audrey Richards in his bid for re-election.

Missi Hesketh was the only Democrat nominee, and will compete against Burlson in November.

In Congressional District 4, Republican incumbent Mark Alford ran unopposed, and will go head-to-head with Democrat nominee Jeanetta Cass, who defeated Mike McCaffree in the primary.

In the 3rd Congressional District, Trump-endorsed GOP nominee Bob Onder defeated a loaded field, which included Kurt Schaefer, Chadwick Bicknell, Kyle Bone, Bruce Bowman, and Arnie Dienoff.

He will face Democrat nominee Bethany Mann, who defeated Andrew Daly Tuesday night.
