While smoking continues to be the leading cause of preventable deaths in the United States year-over-year, one local pharmacy is taking steps to lower that number right here in the Ozarks.

Stephens Pharmacy in Bolivar will begin smoking cessation classes on July 30, with Clinical Staff Pharmacist Bailey Sherry leading the program.

The seven week class features a total of eight sessions, and is open to any form of nicotine use, including vaping, smoking, chewing tobacco, and any others.

The first three sessions will be supporting others in the class. The fourth session is when all the participants will quit nicotine, followed by a session two days later to provide additional support and accountability.

The class costs $60 to attend. You can register for the program by calling Stephens Pharmacy at (417) 326-2416, or online by clicking here.
