Ozark County Pickup Driver Still Missing

Rescue crews continue to search for the driver of a pickup truck that was swept off a bridge in Ozark County.

A woman reported early Tuesday morning that her boyfriend’s truck was swept off Warren Bridge on County Road 328 near Gainesville.

The pickup was found downstream later Tuesday morning, but couldn’t reach the vehicle until that afternoon.

The driver however, was not in the truck and is still missing.

Greene County Authorities Searching for Man Accused of Violating Probation

Crime stoppers in Springfield are searching for a man who is accused of violating his probation and tampering with a motor vehicle.

43-year-old Andrew Ellis pleaded guilty in 2022 to tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest. He is once again wanted on a felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle once again.

Authorities describe Ellis as a white male, standing 5’10”, 210 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.

He has several identifying tattoos across his body, including:

  • A flame tattoo on his left arm
  • A tattoo of a name with a banner on his left shoulder
  • A tattoo that reads “alecia” on the left side of his neck
  • A 9-11 in memory tattoo on the back of his neck and his back
  • A tattoo of a nun with sunglasses on his right shoulder with the words “saint less”
  • An angel with a crown and the word “Laura” on his chest

Investigators say Ellis is likely in Greene County, but that he also has connections to the Las Vegas, Nevada and McCallen, Texas areas.

Springfield Police Investigating Northside Shooting, One Person Injured

Officers with the Springfield Police Department are still investigating after a man allegedly shot his stepfather at a local motel.

Investigators say the man shot his stepfather at the Glenstone Place: Extended Stay motel on North Glenstone between I-44 and Kearney Street Tuesday night.

The victim was shot in the stomach, and was transported to an area hospital. Medical personnel expect him to survive.

The suspect fled the scene, and was missing for a short time, before finally being apprehended at the corner of Kearney and Pickwick.

Neither the victim, nor the suspect, have had their identities released at this time.
