Local veterans organization Honor Flight of the Ozarks is taking their first set of veterans on a remarkable trip to Washington D.C.
81 veterans stemming from World War II, the Korean conflict, and Vietnam, are being accompanied by 81 guardians on a flight to the nation’s capitol. While in D.C. the veterans will visit numerous monuments, including the World War II, Korea, and Vietnam memorials.
Many of the guardians are spouses, siblings, childrens, and other friends/relatives of the veterans.
The return flight will be arriving at the Springfield-Branson National Airport, where those on the flight will receive a “Welcome Home” from other friends and loved ones who want to celebrate their outstanding service and sacrifice.
