City of Springfield Removing Hate Speech From Public Property

The City of Springfield says it is working to remove hate speech from public property around the city.

The messages are the work of a white nationalist hate group and have been reported at parks, bus stops, on signposts, and on lampposts.

In a news release, the city denounced hate groups.

Residents are being asked to report any of the illegal signage to the City of Springfield or City Utilities.
