Almost a week after 22 people were injured during a shooting at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, lawmakers in Missouri are attempting to pass a rare gun-restriction bill.
The law, which was passed 120-26 in the Republican-led House, bans the use of celebratory gunfire within city limits.
This comes just six days after the tragedy at Union Station as “Chiefs Kingdom” celebrated the teams third title in five years.
“Blair’s Law” as it was called, was voted for approval in Missouri last year before it was vetoed by Governor Mike Parson.
