Two Juveniles Arrested for Burglary in Ozark

Prosecutors in Ozark are considering charges against two juveniles for burglary.

Police were called to the Plaza Gas station on E. South Street near S. 6th Street Wednesday morning.

Investigators say a glass door into the store was smashed, and they discovered snow-made foot prints leading from the gas station to a nearby home.

Two juveniles were arrested in connection with the crime. Only tobacco products were stolen.

Authorities say the investigation is still ongoing.

Arena Football League Announces Comeback in 2024

After being absent for almost four years, the Arena Football League (AFL) is planning a return.

The league announced Tuesday that new owners have been found for a revival in 2024.

AFL president of player development Travelle Gaines says 16 teams will be introduced into the league initially, with some former teams as well as some new ones.

The release also says they have appointed a commissioner in Lee Hutton III. He will be the first black commissioner in the history of U.S. based professional sports.

The list of teams and cities will be released at a later time.

Arkansas House Works on Transgender Youth Legislation

The Arkansas House of Representatives is moving forward with a bill that would stop Transgender students from using the restroom of the gender different from the one that is on their birth certificate.

The proposal was approved by the house education committee, putting it on the House floor. If passed, it would apply to all pre-K through High School buildings.

Strong Odor Under Investigation in Springfield

A hazmat team from the Springfield Fire Department and the Brookline Fire Protection District are investigating a strong odor near Chestnut Expressway and I-44.

Workers in the 45-hundred block of West Junction Street noticed the odor early this morning.

The odor is in an industrial park, but the source has not been found. No evacuations have been ordered.
