Hartzler Campaign Criticizes The “2 St. Louis Erics”

Harrisonville, Mo. – The campaign for U.S. Senate candidate Vicky Hartzler lambasted the St. Louis Erics on Thursday for denying Missouri conservatives the opportunity to hear from the leading candidates on a debate stage at a scheduled Nexstar debate on July 13.

This afternoon, Nexstar officially confirmed to the Hartzler Campaign the statewide televised debate has been canceled due to “logistical concerns”.

“Our opponents are airing ads of themselves with flamethrowers, flash grenades, and sniper rifles, but remain in hiding at the possibility of answering questions about their records,” Hartzler Campaign Manager Mike Hafner said.

“We are disappointed Nexstar chose to cancel the July 13th debate, but we are committing today to attending the Gray TV debate scheduled for July 19th in Springfield.

Vicky again will be in attendance with bells-on and we hope the St. Louis Erics find enough courage to face a farm girl from Cass County.”

Hartzler will again participate in the July 19th debate without any conditions or stipulations on debate topics or format.

The new debate, hosted by Gray Television, Inc., will be held at the Missouri State University campus on Tuesday, July 19th beginning at 6:00 p.m., and broadcast live on statewide television (and streamed online) by KMOV in St. Louis, KCTV in Kansas City, KY3 in Springfield, KRCG in Jefferson City, KFVS in Cape Girardeau, KOAM in Joplin and WGEM in Hannibal.

With stations in each of Missouri’s four largest markets and three other markets in the state, Gray Television reaches the largest cumulative audience of any broadcaster in Missouri.

“Vicky is again ready to debate any topic because she is the lifelong conservative in the race with the strongest conservative record of any candidate running.

Our opponents know the only way they can win is to mislead voters with false attacks.

Missourians deserve a U.S. Senator who isn’t afraid to answer tough questions and we want to thank Gray Television for their planning and commitment to airing the debate statewide in Missouri on network affiliates,” Hafner said.

Nixa Utilities, City of Nixa Asking Citizens to Conserve Water Amidst Heat Wave

With record breaking temperatures and little-to-no rainfall in southwest Missouri this week, the city of Nixa is asking residents to take precautions to avoid a water shortage.

With the aforementioned combination, utility crews in Nixa have seen much higher water usage that has caused low water pressure issues in parts of the city itself.

Spokespeople for the city say that outdoor irrigation systems such as sprinklers are the primary cause of the excessive water output.

Nixa Utilities is asking utility customers to observe a few recommendations for lower the amount of water being used, including:

– Minimize outdoor watering as much as possible.

– Odd number addresses should water lawns only on odd number calendar days.

– Even number addresses should water lawns only on even number calendar days.

– Refrain from washing sidewalks, driveways, or other exterior surfaces.

– Limit washing of vehicles, boats, and other equipment.

– Limit filling or refilling of pools and hot tubs, tanks, or other vessels not used directly for public health

The city hopes that, with residents observing these measures, they will be able to avoid a possible Stage One Water Emergency, which would make water conservation mandatory in some cases.
