Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol say they have arrested a boater following a crash that killed one on Table Rock Lake over the weekend.
According to reports, the boater was operating a pontoon when they drove it through the area of Breezy Point, hitting multiple swimmers, before crashing into a rock bluff Sunday afternoon.
Breezy Point is located near State Park Marina and is known to be frequented by swimmers.
The incident killed a 15-year-old girl and injured a 16-year-old boy. The names of the victims have not been released.
The operator of the boat, a 62-year-old from O’Fallon, has been arrested on the suspicion of operating a boat while intoxicated.
The Highway Patrol says the investigation is ongoing.
