The Missouri House has advanced a bill to defund planned parenthood, ban fetal tissue donation, and place additional restrictions on abortions. Planned Parenthood is currently reimbursed for providing medical care for low income recipients of government health insurance.
The bill would cut off any public funding going to Planned Parenthood, including clinics that do not provide abortions. The House must vote on the bill again before it goes to the Senate.
