Fire investigators say an extension cord connected from a house to a shed started a fire in Springfield Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to a house in the 900 block of East Livingston near Doling Park.
A family of five escaped the house.
Firefighters contained the blaze to one room.
The Shed had fire damage as well.
