Wind Advisory Thursday Afternoon and Evening

In addition to the near widespread rain across the Ozarks, temperatures are dropping and winds are picking up as we head into Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service says in addition to temps holding in the upper 40’s, wind gusts of 40 to 45 miles per hour can be expected for the afternoon and evening in areas generally along and west of Highway 65, including the Springfield metro.

Winds gusting that high could cause small limbs to break and loose objects like trash cans to be blown around.

Travel may become difficult for high profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.
