Many Easter celebrations are being held in person this year after being shut down a year ago due to COVID-19.
One of those is the Greater Springfield Easter Sunrise Celebration Sunday morning at Hammons Field.
A Facebook post says the event is open to any community members who “want to observe Christ’s resurrection” on Easter Sunday.
Admission and parking are both free, and the event will be cancelled if there is rain.
Gates to Hammons Field open at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, with the service starting at 6:45 a.m.
