After eight months with a masking ordinance in place, the city of Forsyth has made a change.
The board of aldermen lifted the ordinance Monday based on a decrease in positive cases of COVID-19 in Taney County over the last several months.
The seven-day average rate of positive cases of the virus has been less than 10% since the end of January.
City leaders continue to recommend both individuals and businesses follow CDC guidelines to help prevent the spread of the virus.
